Intraocular Steroid Treatment
Intraocular steroid injections are a growing treatment option to relieve macula edema, a common condition involving swelling in the center part of the eye that allows us to see objects with great detail. Patients with macular edema may experience blurry or distorted vision, especially when reading.
Steroids are injected with a local anesthetic in the office. After these injections, many patients notice a significant improvement in vision.
